Get Around Instagram's Algorithm
Instagram's algorithm may be the cause of your social posts limited engagement. In fact, it may be the reason your posts aren't showing up in your followers social media feed. Below are some of our tips and tricks to get around the Instagram algorithm.
1. ENGAGE : You can't expect to garner much attention when you are not engaging with your brands social followers. Like any personal Instagram, you follow certain accounts for a reason - so like, comment, comment back and message social followers and influencers. We recommend taking 30 minutes each day. Go down your social feed and engage. Your social media platform sets the tone for the type of company you are. It also gets your brand in front of others - at the top of the social feed and even in the search bar. We know it takes time, but it is the best way to ensure the algorithms don't affect your social account.
2. HASHTAG : Hashtagging is important and it's one of the best ways to get your Instagram 'free' and 'targeted' advertising. Not familiar with how it works? Hashtags take you to a curated feed of posts that have all used the same hashtag. If you have a picture from a particular destination, hashtag the location. You would be surprised how many people search by hashtag each day. Use hashtags on every photo - some days there are popular hashtags or holidays. We recommend using those as well. Tip: We put all hashtags in a separate comment so the first caption comment under the image isn't filled with a bunch of hashtags because yes, we use as many '#' as Instagram allows us from #marketing to #photooftheday.
3. CREATE : This is the cherry on top. Original content is crucial to set your brand apart. People love beautiful images and feeds. Original content will allow your followers to engage further and they might even share your image on their feed (which gets you free exposure to potential social followers). We also believe in a beautiful social feed. If your feed doesn't make you 'feel' a certain way or give you insight into what it is that the brand is about, you may want to rethink your strategy. You can have a great brand but if your social feed says otherwise, you may be missing out on a large untapped market.
