Best place to travel this winter season...
As the weather cools it's easy to feel more comfortable staying home and laying low. But traveling in the winter is one of our favorite things to do. It's nice to escape the cold for some sun in a tropical location, it's also fun to head to the mountains for some fresh powder. With so many travel options we thought we would list out our favorite destinations perfect for a winter getaway.
1. Honolulu, Hawaii:
- This tropical oasis is SO cheap to travel too in the winter. It's also got less tourists this time of year and the weather is perfect. We recommend heading north to check out the surf competitions that take place. There are some huge waves and major surf talent out in the water this time of year.
2. Breckenridge, Colorado:
- There is something for everyone here. From shopping to sledding and more, this ski town is the perfect place to get your snow fill. Fresh powder covers the slopes for skiiers and snowboarders alike, while the sledding and snow sculptures are fun for the more leisure snow fans. And if you don't enjoy snow activities, the shops here are fun to browse. It's one of our favorite ski towns and a place you should definitely visit this winter season.
3. Phuket, Thailand:
- The prices for hotels might be higher and there might be more tourists during the winter season but the pros greatly outweigh the cons. If you've been to tropical spots before, you know that monsoon season makes it hard to enjoy your stay. The winter season in Phuket is perfect: perfect weather, perfect beaches and the perfect getaway post holiday season.
4. Park City, Utah:
- Flights to Utah aren't horribly expensive and hotel stays this time of year are what you'd expect. Why we list this as a place to visit is because of the people and events that go on in the winter. If you time it right, you can go to this ski town when Sundance Film Festival is going on. There you will get to experience a fun nightlife and incredible Indie films. Ski all day, play all night. We recommend planning ahead.
