Finding the Silver Lining: Political Aftermath

We knew there would be political aftermath from the election. What we never expected was the complete divide of the United States (and quite possibly the world). TV networks, print media outlets and social media feeds are filled with opinionated posts and heated discussions. And last night demonstrations broke out across the USA. It feels like everywhere we go there is complete division, no longer do we feel like we live in a united nation.

We wanted to share some thoughts from President Obama. He offers words of optimism and hope to the American people. We have the ability to unite and grow from where we are today. We are not just Americans and patriots first, we are humans first. Let us all come together and find the silver lining.

President Obama:

Everybody is sad when their side loses an election, but the day after we have to remember that we're actually all on one team. This is an intramural scrimmage. We're not Democrats first. We're not Republicans first. We are Americans first. We're patriots first. We all want what's best for this country.
